Macworld 2008 Announcements

Well the expo has ended, and the announcements are in the air. Apparently the “something is in the air” poster was referring to a new laptop by Apple called Macbook Air. You can find more information on the laptop by clicking on the Macbook Air link. Personally I was hoping for some updates on the other laptop models, but none were announced.

iPhone updates are in the form of the free update to v1.1.3. Hmmm have to wait on the hack so I can update mine without losing my T-Mobile service on it. The iPhone updates sound awesome. More on the updates here.

Apple also announced two new wireless routers called Time Capsule. It comes with a 500GB or a 1TB hard drive. Mac laptops can now backup wireless through Leopards built in Time Machine feature.

Over all I feel the announcements were significant. Steve Jobs said this was all in just the first 2 weeks of 2008, and we still have 50 more weeks to go.

The video can be found here.
