Smart Paths for Internet Browsers

Posted by Umair Abbasi on Aug. 9, 2015 in Technology

On almost all operating systems you can tell a computer to associate an application with a given filetype. For instance, open all pdf files on my computer with Adobe Acrobat Reader.

I am proposing the same concept for the browser, only difference, making the browser path smart. If saving a torrent file set it to always save in a set path. If saving a image always save to another set path. This way we don’t always have to go through the archaic process of selecting the right folder for the right file type. Files based on type go into pre-determined paths.

The option for changing the pre-determined path when saving would be a neat thing to have.
